Bottom line is, it is possible to make something presentable from the Jammit stems, but it is a lot of work and will not quite be complete with every guitar note and special effect when you are done. The other notable parts that are missing from the Jammit stems are the special effects like the birds chirping at the beginning of the song "Close to the Edge." You could pull these special effects off of the band track, but then you have the other instruments mixed in so it gets tricky. These smaller undocumented missing pieces are typically 1 to 6 note runs that were probably added as an overdub at some point. The band track has all of the parts so when you play a guitar stem for example, you will notice that some guitar parts are not in the stem, but are in the band track.

In addition to these documented missing parts, there are some other small missing parts that are not documented. With Jammit, users can actually play along to the isolated tracks recorded by their heroes without having to hear all of the other instruments simultaneously. I've downloaded parts of "Close to the Edge" and in the musical notation they indicate an isolated track was not available in certain places for some of the instruments where the missing isolated part runs for several measures. Jammit has most of the main instruments isolated, but a few key parts are missing.
